Who can join a sponsor

How it works

  1. Check your sponsor qualifies: a sponsor who holds family-reunion or provisional residence themselves can't sponsor you.
  2. From abroad, apply for the family reunion visa at a Brazilian consulate. Already in Brazil, apply for residence at the Federal Police.
  3. Register with the Federal Police for your RNM and your CRNM card.

Documents

Documents from abroad need an apostille or legalization and a sworn translation. The exact list depends on your relationship and where you apply.

Have an attorney handle your family reunion

A licensed immigration attorney checks the relationship documents and files your application. You choose them in the Emigro app and see their fee before you commit.
